Jens Høiriis Nielsen

DSc in Cell Biology and Professor at  Department of Biomedical Sciences at The Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen.

He  has worked as  Head of  Department  of Cell Biology at Hagedorn Research Institute and as  Visiting Professor at The Hormone Research Institute, University of California, San Francisco. He has published a large number of scientific papers on the growth and function of insulin producing cells. In 2001 he became Associate Professor at Department of Medical Biochemistry and Genetics, University of Copenhagen and in 2006 he became Professor at the present Department of Biomedical Sciences.
